Show me around againWatch the 3-minute tutorial
1. How a case moves
A case starts when intake creates it. You record dictation at the table — the report drafts itself into eleven sections within a couple of minutes. Cases waiting on toxicology sit in your queue with the lab date showing. When the lab report is added, sections 7, 8 and 9 are redrafted from it and the case moves to the top of your worklist as Ready for your review. You read, edit, set manner, and certify. After that the report is locked; changes go in as addenda.
2. Where each sentence came from
Every sentence drafted from your dictation carries a small number. Tap it to see the transcript line, its timestamp, and play the audio. If something was said that shouldn't be in the report — an aside to staff, a correction you superseded — it shows in the Dictation tab in grey marked excluded. Tap excluded to include it; only the sections that use that line are redrafted. A body system you didn't dictate shows as not dictated. The report never fills gaps for you.
3. Editing the draft
Tap any paragraph to edit it in place. Keep my edit saves it and records the change under your name. Restore draft puts the original back. Your edits are never overwritten — if toxicology arrives after you've edited section 8 or 9, the new draft appears beside your version and you choose.
4. Adding a toxicology report
Open the case → Toxicology → Add the lab report. Photograph the printed report or choose the PDF. Check the parsed table against the original, then Apply to report. Sections 7, 8 and 9 redraft; 1–6 don't change. If the parse is wrong, Fix a value lets you correct cells before applying.
5. Certifying, and what it records
Certify is available once manner of death is set. It asks for your password and then records your name, credentials, the manner, the time to the second, and a fingerprint of the report's text. From then on the report is read-only. Add an addendum from the Certify tab; it appends to the PDF with its own record. The full history is under Record of actions and can be exported.
6. Working at a desk
On a screen 1024 pixels wide or more, CaseWeaver opens in three panes: the report's sections on the left, the report page in the middle, and dictation, toxicology and manner of death on the right. Hover a sentence to light its line in the dictation; click it to jump to the source. Drag a lab report PDF from your desktop anywhere onto a case to add it. Everything can be done from the keyboard:

7. Install from your browser
If your office can't install software, CaseWeaver installs from the browser as its own app window — no administrator needed. Microsoft Edge: open CaseWeaver, then choose … → Apps → Install this site as an app. Google Chrome: open CaseWeaver, then click the install icon at the right of the address bar (or ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app). CaseWeaver then opens from the Start menu or Dock like any other program. The desktop apps for Mac and Windows are listed at /desktop.
8. Getting help
Email info@coachingos.org — it reaches the CaseWeaver team directly. Or tap Report a problem under your name; it sends your case number and screen with the message. Response within one business day.
